Introduction: The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between Cyberchondria and information literacy among the students of Bushehr University of Medical Sciences in 2022.Methods: The method of implementation of this research was descriptive-analytical of cross-sectional type, and to collect information Yazdani information literacy questionnaires (2012) and Cyberchondria Severity Scale (CSS) were used. Results: The findings showed a negative and significant relationship between Cyberchondria and students' information literacy; Also, the examination of the relationship between the five dimensions of information literacy and the Cyberchondria of students showed that the relationship between each of these dimensions with the level of illness is negative and significant. It was also a negative and significant relationship between the age variable and Cyberchondria of students. It means that as the age of the students increases, their Cyberchondria decrease. However, no significant relationship was observed between other demographic variables (educational level, marital status, and economic status) and the Cyberchondria of students. Among other findings of this research, we can mention the lack of significant difference between the average score of Cyberchondria between women and men. Conclusion: The results of this study showed an average to a high level of Cyberchondria among students. Considering the negative and significant relationship between information literacy and Cyberchondria, it is recommended to promote information literacy through educational workshops and includes this important topic in students' curricula.

Introduction: During health crises, such as Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the spread of fake news and rumors makes it difficult to distinguish real news. Besides, despite dangers, some endanger public safety by avoiding vaccination. It is not clear to what extent the individuals understand the dangers, and are influenced by the fake news. To elucidate the causes of this risky behavior, this study examined the role of fake news detection and risk perception in vaccine acceptance among students of Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran. Methods: Research method was survey, and research tool was a combined electronic questionnaire, including vaccine acceptance questionnaire of Montagni et al., fake news detection, developed by the researcher, and the risk perception questionnaire of Champion. The sampling method was voluntary. 382 students from Shiraz University (academic year of 2021-2022) answered the questionnaire. Data were analyzed through chi-square and binary logistic regression tests. Results: 72.0% of students were vaccine acceptant, and 62.8% had a moderate risk perception regarding the disease. Although the students' demographic characteristics and risk perception showed no significant correlation with the vaccine acceptance, their ability to detect fake news had a significant positive correlation. In effect, the participants with higher fake news detection scores were 0.8 times less likely to be classed in the vaccine hesitant group, compared to the vaccine acceptance ones. Conclusion: Acceptance of fake news about COVID-19 vaccine may reduce the vaccine acceptance. This finding highlights the key role of fake news detection literacy in controlling the behavior of individuals, and thus the safety of society.

Introduction: Although several studies have been conducted on online health information seeking behavior and its relationship with health beliefs, there are still gaps in identifying the exact and comprehensive relationships of these factors in Iran. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between health belief model and the intention to search online health information among university students in Ahvaz City, Iran. Methods: In this correlational study, the statistical population consisted of all students who study at universities in Ahvaz City, in the academic year of 2019. To determine the sample size of the research, according to the Cochran formula, 600 students were selected through stratified random sampling method, and using a mixed questionnaire consisted of 6 components and 30 items. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.886 using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. 527 questionnaires were distributed and the data were analyzed using multivariate regression method. Results: Most of the respondents were in the age group of 21-30 years (55.8%). According to the final analysis, the “perceived benefits” explained 66.8% of the changes in the intention to seek health information. In addition, “perceived severity”, “perceived susceptibility”, and “self-efficacy”, accounted for 24.7%, 17.5%, 14.0% of the variation in intention to seek health information, respectively. However, the relationship between “perceived barriers” and intention to seek health information was not confirmed. Conclusion: Seeking for health information in the Internet is influenced by health beliefs, and the Internet, as the most important and accessible information source, has many benefits for the students; thus, affecting the severity and sensitivity of this stratum to use, adds health information daily. This indicates a relatively high level of awareness among students about improving their health information.

Introduction: With all the progress that is happening today in the field of medicine, the biggest benefit is the possibility of using modern information technology. Medicine today is characterized by widespread use of new information and communication technologies (ICT) - mobile phones, teletext, fax and electronic mail (e-mail). Global computer network allows access to a number of databases with bibliographic, epidemiological, image and other information, which increasingly emphasizes the importance of the application of the Internet in medicine. Systems to assess health status, to diagnose diseases and systems to support clinical practice have become available over the Internet. Methods: The survey was conducted among the students of the sixth year of the Medical Faculty of the University of Sarajevo, generation of 2009/10 and 2012/13, through specifically created questionnaire. The questionnaire was entirely anonymous. The questionnaire consists of five classes of data that are consisted of created relevant variables from the first author of this article. For evaluation of opinions modified Likert scale of measurement was used. Results: Student feedback on what should be added to the teaching in the field of Medical Informatics is such that students in 2008/09 twice as much thought that there should be more practical work on PC, more education via the Internet and distance learning is present in 2012. Students from both surveys agree that they should improve their knowledge about the databases, but in 2009 there was even twice more students than there is today which considered that they need to improve their knowledge about MS Office and Internet. As the future of information technology students listed in both surveys using the Internet, followed by the databases and multimedia applications. Conclusion: Easier access to useful biomedical information is provided in almost every part of the planet Earth, as to users of health care (patients), as well to physicians and other health care personnel in health institutions. They all have the power to quickly and easily collect and share information from their local and wider environment. Self-management is a set of strategies that an individual applies in order to improve and influence his behavior. The statistical population consisted of management students in Isfahan University during 2009-2010. The required number of participants was calculated as 196 students who were selected by simple random sampling method. This model was then tested by LISREL software. Results: Self-management strategies, particularly behavioral strategies, had a significant effect on students' innovation level. In addition, students' internal focus, as a hidden variable, had a great effect on their innovation level. Moreover, level of education affected students' innovation level, i.e. PhD students were more innovative than other students due to the skills and experiences they acquired during their course of study. The amounts of fit indexes in the studied model showed the suitability of the model. Conclusion: Practical commitment to self-management system creates a different attitude toward ersonal values through a professional approach and self guidance and can thus facilitate creativity and innovation in students.
