Reliable information plays an important role in the health system. Nevertheless, sometimes the society is faced with distortion of facts, manipulation of information, sharing of information without understanding its consequences, and dissemination of fake news, which are types of information disorders. Wardle and Derakhshan classified information disorders into three categories: "Misinformation", "Disinformation" and "Malinformation" (1).Unlike disinformation that is based on completely false information, health malinformation uses valid and acceptable medical information but subject to certain conditions or relatively accurate health information. This information is presented without considering the original context or in an incorrect context to lead people who encounter it to false or misleading impressions and conclusions. In fact, malinformation is reconfigured true information. When background or context, such as time, place, or privacy, is not considered, it can create a perception that conflicts with reality and harm individuals, organizations, and collective understanding (2). The important point in the circulation of health malinformation is the intention of the sender of the information or message, which is done intentionally and with malicious intent in order to cause real harm or the threat of real harm to a person, organization or country. Therefore, in promoting malinformation, the person's intention to harm is certain, not accidental, which can be harmful and even dangerous for others, and at the same time, it has a criminal aspect (3).

Introduction: The impact of research is any type of output of research activities that has a positive return for the scientific community, health systems, patients, and peoples. The impact of research can include various aspects, including impact on health, economy, and policy making in society. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to determine the policy impact of research in the field of health management and policy making of Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2014-2019.Methods: This applied research was carried out by means of a survey and citation analysis of records published in 2014 to 2019. At first, the return on investment questionnaire was completed by the first or corresponding authors. The findings of the questionnaire were analyzed by citation analysis and checking the number of citations in studies. The data analysis was done using SPSS software version 22.Results: Overall, 459 research in health management and policy-making of Iran University of Medical Sciences were identified. These studies have been used in 768 systematic reviews, seven educational content productions, 129 upstream documents, policy briefs, and instructions; three clinical guidelines, six health technology assessments, and six non-health decision-making.Conclusion: The policy impact of research in the field of health management and policy-making was mostly through systematic reviews, upstream documents, policy briefs, and instructions. Therefore, it needs to provide further application of these studies in decision-making outside the health field, clinical decision-making, training contents, on-demand research, health technology assessment.

Introduction: As the worldwide population grows and the access to healthcare is increasingly being demanded, real-time monitoring of different biological signals has driven the study and development of diverse wearable technology. Monitoring of physical activity and behaviors by wearable devices may improve these health behaviors. This study endeavored to recognize the challenges of wearable technology in medicine and healthcare.Methods: This applied study was conducted in two phases using qualitative approach in winter 2023. Initially, the challenges of wearable devices were recognized from previous studies. In the second step, the study experts evaluated conceptual model by Delphi method. The expert panel consists of 13 individuals active in information technology in healthcare according to targeted sampling.Results: According results the main challenges of wearable devices are technology acceptance (0.923), design/development (0.769), data quality/safety (0.769), privacy/confidentiality (0.923), socioeconomic impact (0.846), interoperability/connectivity (0.769), patient information/data overload (0.846), remote monitoring (0.846), and sanctions (0.769).Conclusion: This study revealed that applications of the wearable technology in healthcare are becoming mature and established as a scientific domain. Practical adoption in wearable technology still demands design and validation of new pathways, strategic formulation, and a sound business model. Practitioners and researchers should consider how these technological advances may impact healthcare in the new era.

From the point of view of the authors of this article, the types of medical misinformation can be divided into three general categories, emphasizing that this categorization does not have precise and mathematical boundaries: 1) Misinformation type 1 (Dissemination of totally incorrect medical information): In this case, the sender (individual or media) disseminates medical information that is completely medically incorrect and causes an information disorder that can harm the health of the individual and society. 2) Misinformation Type 2 (Propagation of medical pseudoscience): In this case, the sender (individual or media) presents irrelevant medical information and a person may express correct presuppositions or correct propositions incorrectly or draw incorrect conclusions from them. This case will cause an information disorder and possible damage to the health of the individual and the society. 3) Misinformation Type 3 (Conditional recommendations): In this case, the sender (individual or media) advises and offers medical information, which after being reviewed and evaluated by clinical experts or health scientists, their validity and strength are still completely unknown and is not approved but it is used in special conditions or special situations depends on the special conditions of each individual patient. This case, like the previous two cases, has caused information disorders, and although the purpose of these advices is not to harm others, it can cause damage to the health of the individual and the society through circulating the relatively correct medical information among the society.

Introduction: Resistive economy as a new concept/doctorine has entered to the Iranian economics literature several years ago. However, in order to be applied efficiently, a common perception among experts is necessary regarding its definition, instances and requirements. Thus, this study was conducted with the aim of general explanation of resistive economy concepts, its instances and requirements as well as identification of its requirements in health sector based on the experts’ opinions.Methods: In this qualitative study, 8 in-depth and face-to-face interviews were conducted with some economist as well as some health economists who were selected through purposive sampling methods. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed using the conventional content analysis method. MAXQDA Analytics Pro2020 (VERBI GmbH Berlin) Release 20.4.0 was used for coding and data management.Results: Two concepts of “economic resilience” and “comprehensive concept of resistive economy” were identified. Then, the instances and requirements related to these two concepts were determined. An anti-shock economy, an oil-free economy, economic productivity and change were identified as instances of “economic resilience” and justice-oriented, knowledge-based, endogenous, extraversion, democratized, jihadi culture, Islamization of the economy, and resistive economy as a political economy were identified as the instances of “comprehensive concept of resistive economy”. The instances and requirements of resistive economy in health sector were also elaborated. Conclusion: There are numerous interpretations of resistive economy. Based on expert opinions, resiliency is a very important specification of that economy, but other specifications should also exist to address the comprehensiveness of the concept. In order to implement and operationalize the resistive economy in various sectors including the health sector, the first step is to reach a common understanding of resistive economy amongst the experts.

Introduction: Data mining seems to be a good tool for showing underlying knowledge of Medical Big Data (MBD). Understanding characteristics of data and possible challenges are the first steps of the journey. This study endeavors to inspect reasons, effects, and solutions of challenges as well as benefits of MBD mining.Methods: In so doing, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Springer, and Google Scholar databases were scrutinized using two groups of keywords for benefits and challenges in the years 2011-202. The search language was English. Single-purpose studies were excluded and those studies that were focused on MBD mining were included. Then, challenge was examined separately and the results were categorized.Results: Extracted knowledge from MBD enhances quality of care. However, low-quality performance in gathering and storing the data, properties of big data, and inherent structure of medical data cause many problems for mining methods. Inconsistency, veracity, privacy, and security issues are the major challenging problems. Standardization and enhancing quality of data gathering, storing, and representing tasks are the effective problem prevention strategies. Designing and using appropriate frameworks, algorithms, and structures as well as utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques are the most effective solutions for dealing with the challenges.Conclusion: MBD was appeared and expanded when the world was not ready for it. Thus, it caused many challenges for mining methods. Some of them are traceable, preventable, and manageable. However, some challenges need novel and intelligent methods that are able to handle MBD.

Introduction: Promoting community health and improving health status requires training and clarifying health information seeking behavior in the community. In this regard, due to the caring role parents have in the family, they can play an important role by improving their health information acquisition skills. This study aimed to identify the components related to parental health information seeking behavior.Methods: This was a library review study using a hybrid approach. After determining the keywords and searching in internal and external databases, 5574 articles were found. Applying filters and examining the content, the codes were extracted from 22 articles. Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) indices were used to review the articles, and Shannon entropy table, expert opinion, and kappa coefficient were employed to extract the codes.Results: In this study, 4 main and 12 subcategories were identified. Information needs, sources of information, cognitive factors and barriers to class information acquisition, and health-oriented information as well as child health assessment, conventional and non-conventional sources, social support, communication infrastructure, information validity were among the subcategories.Conclusion: Facilitating the access to credible health-oriented information has a great impact on promoting health literacy and ultimately improving the level of health of individuals, including parents of children under 5 years old. Therefore, considering physical infrastructure, search skills, and individual and social differences as well as health information literacy training are among the factors affecting health promotion and improving its two-way relationship with health-information seeking behavior.

Introduction: Health care reform was implemented in Iran in year 2014 to protect people from health-related financial risks. The aim of this study was to compare direct health expenditures before and after the implementation of health care reform.Methods: This was a descriptive survey study, using the databases of selected Insurance Organizations of Isfahan Province (Iran Health Insurance Organization and Social Security Organization) and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (MUI). All data related to direct health expenditures in years 2013 and 2015 were gathered using a checklist, and analyzed using Excel software.Results: The direct health expenditures experienced 49, 130, and 118 percent of increase in Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran Health Insurance Organization, and Social Security Organization, respectively; the overall increase after implementation of health care reform was 92 percent.Conclusion: After the implementation of the health care reform in Iran, selected Insurance Organizations of Isfahan Province and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences experienced an increase in direct health expenditures. As a result, we suggest the use of different methods for controlling the expenditures of health care reform as its next phase.

Introduction: Today, the existence of historical and natural potentials has made Iran as one of the most attractive tourists' destinations in the world. Yazd Province, as one of the sides of the golden triangle of tourism in Iran, with experienced doctors and specialists is a good field for medical tourism development. The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the factors affecting the attraction of foreign tourists for treatment in Yazd, and consequently the development of this industry.Methods: The present study was conducted using fuzzy cognitive mapping and social network analysis approach. Experts in the field of tourism and treatment in Yazd Province were used to form the expert team. Initially, 15 factors were identified by reviewing the background of the studies. Then, through screening by expert team, 12 final factors were selected and entered into fuzzy cognitive mapping process. Social network analysis approach was used for the scientific integration of cognitive mappings as well as mapping. After mapping, key factors were identified and finally, the effect of different policies in the form of medical tourism development was investigated.Results: Visa issuance and human resource abilities, along with quality of service, advertising, language proficiency, infrastructure, security, updated equipment, regulations, costs, respect for foreign patients' beliefs, and treatment villages were effective in attracting foreign medical tourists.Conclusion: The results of this study indicate the necessity of ensuring the safety of foreign tourists through cooperation between different institutions and the importance of facilitating the issuance of visas. It also highlights the role of the skilled and capable human resources in the survival of health care system.

Introduction: One of the most important tasks of managers is optimal allocation of financial resources, and maximum productivity of available facilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting optimal allocation of financial resources from the donors’ participation in the health system from the experts' point of view.Methods: The present study was a qualitative research that was done using a semi-structured interview with 41 managers, policymakers, the experts employed in social deputies of Iranian Ministry of Health and medical universities, active donors in the field of health in Iran, and faculty members of economics department. All interviews were coded after transcription, and reviewed several times. They were categorized by using data analysis framework in the form of main and subthemes.Results: There were 3 groups extracted from the interviews, financial sustainability framework, corporate finance framework, and funding allocation. Moreover, 6 main themes including recruitment, maintenance, and active participation of donors, organization and program planning, executive factors, mode of investment, identification of real needs, and need-based decision making criteria, and 36 subthemes were extracted.Conclusion: Benefits would not have a good return, if are not within the framework of laws and regulations and in line with the real needs of society. Health system policymakers and managers should prioritize the real needs of the health system, and direct the funds generated from donors within these priorities.

Introduction: Investigating the health information seeking behavior of users can help librarians to provide appropriate services, and help public libraries to make effective decisions and plans. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the health information seeking behavior of among the users of public libraries in Isfahan City, Iran.Methods: In this research with survey method, the statistical population included 6657 users of public libraries in Isfahan City, and the sample size was calculated as 377. The sampling was performed using stratified random sampling method. Data collection tools included a researcher-made Health Information Seeking Behavior questionnaire. The validity of questionnaire was verified by experts in the field of medical library and information science, and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach’s alpha as 0.87. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics via SPSS software.Results: Frequency distribution of health information searches and time spent on searching for health information in each search showed that most of the users searched for health information once a month, and each time they spent 15-30 minutes for health information searches. Moreover, the mean score of components of health information seeking behavior among users showed that the highest mean related to the purposefulness of health information search (63.1 out of 100) and the lowest was of the diversity of health information sources (45.71 out of 100).Conclusion: Public library users do not spend much time on searching for health information. They search for health information based on the various goals and issues they are facing and conduct targeted searches. Moreover, they do not care much about the resources of health information they need.

Introduction: Considering the importance of the role of reviewing articles in the quality of articles submitted for journals, this study was conducted to identify the methods to evaluate and improve reviewer's performance in health scientific journals. Methods: This qualitative research was conducted using content analysis method. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with experts who have had experience enough in health scientific journals including editors in chief, internal managers, editorial boards, authors’ council with at least 2 years of continuous related work experience in journals and review of at least ten articles. Sampling was carried out using purposeful method, and data were analyzed using content analysis method. Lincoln and Guba method was used to determine the validity and reliability of the analysis based on four criteria of credibility, transferability, certainty, and verifiability. Results: Experts’ opinions about the methods to evaluate and improve the performance of reviewers in health scientific journals were categorized in three categories of practical evaluation (functional self-assessment and other functional evaluations), behavioral evaluation (timeliness, and morality- and commitment-based assessment) and technical evaluation (assessment of activity, assessment of experiences, and evidence-based assessment). The analysis of experts’ viewpoints on motivational methods for improving reviewers cooperation, two categories of encouragement factors (financial, non-financial personal, and non-financial communal), and interaction (process awareness, personal communication, and asking question logically). Analysis of opinions on methods for enhancing scientific abilities of reviewers, showed two categories of awareness (providing transparent and up-to-date rules and guidelines, providing scientific feedback, and training), and strengthening responsive behavior (paying attention to efficient reviewers and strengthening the reviewers’ behavioral intellectual model).Conclusion: Awareness of evaluation, reinforcement, and motivation methods of reviewer's performance, improves the quality of reviews. These findings help health scientific journals managers to increase the quality of article review.

Introduction: The purpose of this research was to determine the challenges of writing and publishing of health scientific articles from the viewpoint of the faculty members of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iran.Methods: In this survey, the statistical population consisted of 250 faculty members of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences who were selected using stratified random sampling method. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. Its validity confirmed by experienced researchers, and its reliability was determined to be 0.98, using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data were analyzed using one-sample t test.Results: Among 6 categories, professional, personal, and facility challenges with mean of 3.05, 3.00, and 2.98 were very important. However, socio-cultural challenge with mean of 2.41 was the least important place.Conclusion: The research policymakers in Iran's universities of medical sciences can consider this challenges, and help to establish evidence-based practice and evidence-based medicine.

Research is considered as an important investment for promoting innovation, knowledge development and economic development of countries. The aim of this study was to determine the economic barriers of health research in Iran. This was a narrative review. The data was collected through studying the articles published on information databases like Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, and PubMed. The keywords used in this research included "Barriers to Research", "Research”, “Economics", "Research Market" "Health" and other similar keywords. The study of economic barriers of health researchers showed that four factors including lack of research funding, lower investment in research, inadequate relationship with industry, and the non-commercialization of research results are considered as economic barriers in health research. Considering the new approaches of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in the field of health research, it is necessary to attract funds from outside universities, strengthen the relationship between industry and academic sectors, improve the quality of researches, and increase commercialization of research results.

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of literacy among 18-50-year old people that referred to the public libraries of Kerman, Iran.Methods: Sample size determined 375 people using clustering method. Research tool was health literacy for Iranian adults (HELIA) standard assessment questionnaire (reliability was 0.89). Data were analyzed by Student's independent t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA).Results: Mean of health literacy has the highest and lowest scores in knowledge (14.9) and reading (8.5) subcomponents, respectively. Research findings, in general, showed that 24% (90 people) of clients had sufficient health literacy, 52.3% (196 people) had average health literacy and 23.7% (89 people) had weak health literacy. Therefore, health literacy level of 18-50-year old clients of libraries under coverage public libraries institution of Kerman was middle.Conclusion: In regard to the middle level of health literacy, creating and presenting valid and up-to-date hygienic content of health centers could be effective in promoting the public health literacy level of society.

Introduction: Communication skills are of high importance nowadays. Due to their occupational position,nurses need appropriate and sufficient skills to communicate with their colleagues and patients in order toachieve peace and satisfaction. The present study aimed to determine the effect of communication skillstraining on the overall amount of general health (and its dimensions) in nurses of Kashani Hospital,Isfahan, Iran.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental research in which the statistical sample included all the nursesemployed by Kashani Hospital in 2009 (158 male and female nurses in 12 wards). By applying the relativecategorical random sampling method, 20 participants were assigned to the experimental group and the rest(n = 20) were assigned to the control group. Eight sessions of communication skills training were held forthe experimental group. The standard General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) was used to measure andevaluate the general health in pre-intervention and post-intervention phases. To determine the reliability ofeach questionnaire, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was utilized which provided us with 0.78. Analysis ofthe data took place on two levels of descriptive statistics (average and standard deviation) and inferentialstatistics i.e. analysis of covariance (ANCOVA).Results: Communication skills training increased the general health by 73% and decreases depression,anxiety, and social and physical dysfunction by 75%, 72%, 72%, 34%, respectively (P < 0.01).Conclusion: Designing and applying standard communication skills training sessions, tied with the helpof specialized lecturers, will have a significant effect on human communication, relations, organizationalcitizenship behavior, and general health of the staff.

Modern information and communication technologies have brought about rapidity and ease leading tomore comfort and welfare in our life. However, the users' health and safety would be seriously in dangerin the case of misuse. The present paperattemptedto review the literature on the undesirable effects ofinformation technologies on the health and safety of humans and their environment and therebyemphasized the necessity of training users. The results revealed that unmanaged use of information andcommunication technologies may result in widespread detrimental effects including physical disorders,diseases and anomalies. In addition, the environment safety is threatened by a variety of e-wastes andpollutants. Among several solutions put forward to fight the threats, training users and developing nationalmanagement strategies are the most basic ones. Information and communication technologies extensionand education programs should train users about how to reasonably use the technologies, how to avoid theprobable risks, andin particular, encourage them to choose greentechnologies.

Introduction: Today, the increasing production of information in the health has caused the use of modern technologies for the utilization of information in this area. In order to link the health with information technology, today in most world industrialized countries especially European countries, smart cards have a special place in the health system. Health smart card is Issued in order to facilitate access to people information and is replaced the Insurance Prospectus. The purpose of this study was identification of the Health Smart Card effects Identify in Promoting quality of health care from Experts views. Methods: The method of this study was the descriptive- survey and the purpose was the application that was conducted in 1390. The study population consisted of Manager, Assistants, Senior, Heads of Branches and Premium Sectors Deputies Department of Mazandaran Province Social Insurance and a number of doctors that had at least 10 years of experience that among these, 30 of the experts were selected as sample. Research tools for data collection included Refer to the documentation, Observation and Especially Interviews and questionnaires and Data collection were with methods of library and field studies. Designed questionnaire validity was confirmed by the experts and Reliability was confirmed according to the questionnaire compatibility rate (0/07) that is less than 0/1. Finally data which collected through paired comparisons questionnaire, were analyzed using descriptive statistics and with the software of Expert Choice 11. Results: General attitude of research society that 60 percent of them were men and 40 percent of them were women was positive about the effect of health smart card in promoting quality of health care. Results represents superior of service quality criteria with the final weight 0/277 in current situation. Then customer satisfaction index, Education index, Health knowledge index and Organization performance index with The Importance coefficients of 0/273, 0/257, 0/115, 0/077 was in the second to fifth priority. Conclusion: Based on the results to promoting the quality of health care with health smart card, attention to the service quality and customer satisfaction will be critical. Also it should take steps to establish the necessary infrastructure, setting appropriate standards, check of patients satisfaction from quality of health care and ongoing research in the field of health and e-health systems by researchers. Health is a multi-core processing and is very important. On the one hand, many factors involved increating and sustaining it and is the result of the participation of all administrative units of a communityand on the other hand, has a significant impact on other sectors of a society. What is important in thehealth care is equity. The present study aimed to review the fairness and justice of our health servicesduring the third and fourth development programs. This study conducted in 2012 by reviewing the libraryand internet to collect information about the subject. Then the research findings were organized andarranged. As was stated, although there are no shortcomings in terms of legal content and planning forexpanding equity in financial access, there are numerous problems and by ending the third and fourthdevelopment programs, there is no statistical analysis and annually documented reports to know to whatextent the goals have been achieved. Reviews showed that health sector policies could not significantlyimprove equity in financial access. However, we have made improvements to some extent but moreresearch is needed to find out the root causes of unsuccessful applications.Keywords: Equity; Health; Financial Indicators of Health; Development Plans

Introduction: In every organization, productivity is considerably related with organizational knowledge, experience, creativity, and skills. Therefore, an organization must develop training programs to extract and supply individual, occupational, and organizational needs. This case study described the management performance promotion plan in the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME). The plan aimed to strengthen the knowledge, insight, and skills of managers for organizational missions.Methods: Competency-based training (CBT) was used to empower managers in the Iranian MOHME during 2002-2008. The program included 7 stages for which a professional training committee was formed and 7 education-research-consultation centers were established. All man-agers of MOHME were covered by the program. In every stage, both the findings of previous studies and implementation of new research were used. The training committee confirmed the validity of the primary and secondary information, the training method, and results in every stage by using scientific methods and tools.Results: The extracted needs, developed packages and implemented courses were in line with the objectives, strategies, problems, legal duties and organizational and occupational needs of the MOHME. Managers' performance assessment at 6-month and one-year intervals showed their per-formance was improved by 25%. Their performance was also 37% higher than untrained managers. Most managers did not initially possess adequate management knowledge, skills, and experience.Conclusion: In order to promote performance of managers, attention must be paid to organiza-tional missions and the required skills and knowledge. CBT is an appropriate model for improv- ing individual, professional, and organizational performance of managers and can be used in the Iranian MOHME.
