Introduction: Understanding user loyalty to the library and examining the factors affecting it is an important method for retaining
existing users and attracting new users, and the quality of services can be effective in it. The aim of this study was to predict the
loyalty of users of the Central Library at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences based on the quality of services.
Methods: This was a survey and applied method. The statistical population was students, faculty members and employees (12,300
people) at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. The sample size was 320 people. The sampling method was simple random and
the data collection tool were the modified questionnaire of Suarez Silva et al. and the Latifian questionnaire. The validity of the
questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha (0.77). SPSS20 and KolmogorovSmirnov tests, one-sample T, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression were used for data analysis.
Results: The level of user loyalty was above the average level with an average of 3.71. Also, a positive and significant relationship
was shown between the quality of in person services and the level of loyalty (r=0.557 and p≥0.05), between the quality of electronic
services and the level of loyalty (r=0.367 and p≥0.05), and between the quality of services in general and the level of loyalty (r=0.534
and p≥0.05). Environmental conditions, security, access, goodwill, and service interaction have a positive and significant role in
predicting loyalty.
Conclusion: The quality of library services has a positive and significant effect on user loyalty. Higher levels of environmental
conditions, security, access, goodwill, and service interaction may lead to a higher level of loyalty. Also, the latent factor
measurement model has good construct validity and fit.
