چکیده
هوش‌مصنوعی بدون شک ابزاری ارزشمند است و می‌تواند در تسهیل برخی مراحل پژوهشی موثر باشد؛ با‌این‌حال برخی داوران به جای خواندن دقیق مقاله، تحلیل نقادانه و ارائه بازخوردهای تخصصی، صرفا متن مقاله را به هوش‌مصنوعی یا مدل‌های زبانی می‌سپارند و گزارش داوری را بدون ارزیابی شخصی یا تبیین کافی ارسال می‌کنند؛ در‌واقع مسئولیت خود را به ماشینی واگذار می‌کنند که فاقد درک واقعی از علم، زمینه تخصصی پژوهش و ظرافت‌های روش‌شناختی است. این در‌حالی است که هوش‌مصنوعی نمی‌تواند جای داوری همتا را بگیرد. هوش‌مصنوعی، با‌وجود توانایی‌های چشمگیر در پردازش زبان، فاقد قضاوت تخصصی، درک مفهومی و پیچیدگی‌های روش‌شناختی است که با تجربه و دانش عمیق انسانی حاصل می‌شود. تکیه کامل به خروجی‌های هوش‌مصنوعی می‌تواند به انتشار تحلیل‌های سطحی، سوگیرانه یا کمتر دقیق بینجامد و در بلندمدت، کیفیت خروجی‌های علمی، اعتماد علمی و توانمندی و مهارت داوران علمی تضعیف شود. توصیه این نامه، نه رد فناوری، بلکه تعریف نقش شفاف آن به‌عنوان «یاری‌دهنده» برای داوران و ابزاری برای تسهیل فرآیند، نه جایگزینی برای تفکر نقادانه داوران است. مجلات علمی با تدوین دستورالعمل‌های دقیق، نظارت فعال و ترویج اخلاق حرفه‌ای می‌توانند مانع از تبدیل این فرصت به تهدید شوند. آینده پژوهشی مسئولانه و حرفه‌ای، در گرو تعادلی هوشمندانه بین بهره‌گیری از فناوری و حفظ اصالت کارشناسی انسانی است.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is undoubtedly a valuable tool and can be effective in facilitating some stages of research; however,
AI, while having impressive language processing capabilities, lacks the expert judgment, conceptual understanding, and methodological complexities that come with deep human experience and knowledge. Relying solely on AI outputs can lead to the publication of superficial, biased, or less accurate analyses, and in the long run, undermines the quality of scientific outputs, scientific trust, and the competence and skill of scientific reviewers. This letter recommends not rejecting technology, but rather defining its clear role as an “assistant” to reviewers and a tool to facilitate the process, not a substitute for reviewers’ critical thinking. By developing strict guidelines, active oversight, and promoting professional ethics, scientific journals can prevent this opportunity from becoming a threat. The future of responsible and professional research depends on a smart balance between leveraging technology and preserving the authenticity of human expertise.
