Abstract:Introduction: Effective management of information technology in the health system requires the use of indigenous and validated excellence models that correctly identify and prioritize key dimensions of this area. This study was conducted with the aim of validating the excellence model of information technology management and determining the priority of its dimensions from the perspective of stakeholders of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.Methodology: The present study was an applied, descriptive-survey study of correlation type, with a quantitative approach and structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of 1575 managers and experts of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, of whom 309 were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected with a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of 140 items in a 14-dimensional format and analyzed with SmartPLS software. Model validation was performed with confirmatory factor analysis and prioritization of dimensions by combining path coefficients, factor loadings, and effect size (f²).Findings: The results indicated a good fit of the model and appropriate validity and reliability of the constructs. Also, the dimensions of “IT service portfolio management”, “IT systems management”, “health data management” and “security and confidentiality” had the highest priority, while the dimension of “human resources and employees” had the lowest priority. Conclusion: The research model has acceptable statistical validity and prioritizing its dimensions can be the basis for effective planning of IT management in medical universities (especially in conditions similar to Isfahan University of Medical Sciences). However, generalizing the results to other universities requires conducting additional studies in different environments. Keywords: Information Technology, Excellence Model, ValidationKey Message: In this study, the IT management excellence model in the health system was validated, and its dimensions were prioritized to support targeted planning in IT management.Running Title: Validation of the IT Excellence Model

AbstractBackground:Implementation of outsourcing strategies within the health system has been introduced as a managerial approach to enhance efficiency and equity in service delivery at urban fringe comprehensive health centers; however, it faces multiple challenges and opportunities that require systematic investigation. This study was conducted in the metropolitan area of Mashhad with the aim of developing an evidence based, data driven model for effective outsourcing implementation. Methods:Employing the Grounded Theory approach, this qualitative research utilized semi structured interviews with health system experts. Data were analyzed through open, axial, and selective coding using MAXQDA 20. During selective coding, the core category was extracted, which interacted with causal, contextual, intervening, strategic, and consequential conditions to formulate the final theoretical narrative. Results: Six conceptual categories emerged from the data analysis, including three categories (and seven subcategories) of challenges namely, limited financial resources, weak monitoring systems, and low public trust and three categories (and six subcategories) of opportunities including access to local private providers, active community participation, and policy support. Conclusion: The category of “payment and financial incentives” was identified as the central connecting axis among other structural, contextual, and intervening factors. This finding suggests that any reform in health service outsourcing policies should focus on redesigning payment systems, enhancing contract transparency, and strengthening monitoring and technological infrastructuresKeywords: Outsourcing; Health services; Comprehensive health centers; Urban periphery; Grounded theory; Health policy; Service delivery.

The Impact of Social Perceived Support from Social Networks on Diabetes Knowledge in Patients with Type 2 DiabetesAbstractIntroduction: The presence of diabetic patients in social networks allows them to perceive a form of social support, which plays a significant role in managing chronic diseases, including diabetes. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of perceived social support from social networks on the diabetes knowledge of diabetic patients. Methods: This research is a survey-based and applied study. The statistical population consisted of type 2 diabetes patients visiting the Iran Diabetes Specialty Clinic in Mashhad, with a sample size of 170 participants. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire based on previous studies, the reliability of which was confirmed by Cronbach’s alpha, and its validity was established through convergent and discriminant validity. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and structural equation modeling (SEM).Results: The findings indicated that perceived social support from social networks has a significant positive effect on the diabetes knowledge of type 2 diabetic patients. As perceived social support increases, patients' diabetes knowledge also improves. Additionally, it was found that 25.9% of the variations in "diabetes knowledge" were explained by perceived social support from social networks, which is a considerable contribution. Conclusion: Social networks provide a platform for delivering social support in two forms: informational support and emotional support. These two types of embedded support in social networks can assist patients in better disease management and enhancing their awareness and knowledge.

Background: Nowadays, in urban planning, the centrality of health in the heart of urban development programs will ensure the city's real movement towards sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to investigate the prediction of the effects of the Family Health Plan's non-communicable disease prevention and control program on sustainable urban development.Methodology: This qualitative research was conducted with a content analysis approach in 2023. The research community consisted of managers, executives, and all key individuals knowledgeable about health system reform plans in related areas. Sampling was based on a purposive strategy, and snowball sampling continued until saturation was reached. Data collection was conducted using semi-structured interviews, and data analysis was performed with the Sieh and Shannon approach.Findings: The research results emerged in three main themes (conceptual codes) of sustainable environmental development, sustainable economic development, and sustainable social development with multiple subcategories. The theme of environmental development includes the subcategories of reducing pollution, strengthening the capacity of different urban areas, and enjoying public services. The theme of sustainable economic development also includes increasing equal economic opportunities and increasing economic savings. The theme of social development includes justice, social participation of individuals and families, and other social benefits. Conclusion: Implementing the plan in Isfahan will strengthen the ability of various urban areas to respond to crises, and will lead to flexibility, productivity, and justice, which are essential features of a sustainable city and characteristics of sustainable development.

Introduction: Nowadays, information technologies have had a great impact on the way public libraries provide services to their users. The aim of the research is to identify the types of public library services and how these services are provided to pregnant women as specific library users.Methodology: The present study is a scoping review. English and Persian databases were searched to identify relevant studies. All qualitative and quantitative studies that were relevant to the research objectives were reviewed until the end 20 May 2024. After screening and based on the above inclusion and exclusion criteria, the research sample was 14 final articles that entered the analysis stage.Findings: A review of the sources revealed three main categories for the types of public library services to pregnant women, including information services, health services, and counseling services. Internet services, information, sharing health reference databases, and providing general health journals were among the information services, and health and mental health were among the health services. Also, strategic participation of public libraries in information planning, cultural counseling, and health counseling were among the counseling services of public libraries to pregnant women. These services were provided in two ways: face-to-face, such as reference services, and offline, such as training in health information retrieval skills. Conclusion: Identifying the services of public libraries and their potential capacities in the field of health can help improve the health and well-being of society, including pregnant women. Achieving this requires greater interaction between health organizations and institutions and public libraries.

Background: Modern technologies provide new opportunities for premarital education and counseling. This study was conducted with the aim of developing a user-centered mobile educational application and preliminarily evaluating user satisfaction with it.
Methods: This product-oriented study was carried out based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the analysis phase, a qualitative needs assessment was performed through semi-structured interviews with 15 counseling specialists and young couples. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS version 26.
Results: The mean (SD) age of participants was 24.11 (4.1) years. All participants (100%) believed that the application created value for users by saving time and money, improving knowledge, and enhancing healthcare. Additionally, 68.1% stated that the application effectively helped them accomplish premarital education tasks and achieve their goals, and 100% would recommend the application to others who might benefit from it.
Conclusion: The developed educational application demonstrated high usability and user satisfaction. It can be used as a supplementary, user-centered tool in premarital counseling centers.
