Abstract

Introduction: Today's organization’s environment is highly competitive environments Organizations to survive and thrive and adapt to these changes must learn to rely on empowering and focus on organizational learning. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between employee empowerment and organizational learning among employees, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Methods: The study was descriptive and analytical. 100 employees of the Central University were selected by simple randomized sampling method. In order to data collection was used the Spreitzer's empowerment questioner and Neefe's organizational learning questioner. Informational career and demographic were added to the questionnaire. Formal validity of questionnaire was confirmed by the number of professors and its reliability by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated to be equal 90% and 86% for this two questioner. In order to analyze the data were used software SPSS 15, descriptive statistics methods (Mean, standard deviation, Frequency) and inferential statistics (Anova, T-Test, Pearson correlation and multiple linear regressions). Results: The results of this study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between organizational learning and empowerment (p <0/001, r = 0/696). The results of multiple regression analysis revealed two dimensions of participation with others and sense of competency in occupational predictors of organizational learning. (P<0/05 ,322/0 = β , = β 0/465) level of organizational learning and employee empowerment is Moderate. Conclusion: since the feeling of participation with others and competency to have the greatest impact on organizational learning. Therefore Managers can engage employees in decision making and provide the staff to learn and experience creativity and the development of competence, will propel the university into a learning organization.
