چکیده
مقدمه: پژوهشگران حوزه‌های مختلف برای دسترسی به اطلاعات علمی به روز و مطمئن به منابع الکترونیک رایگان و غیر رایگان وابسته هستند. با رشد روزافزون منابع الکترونیک و جایگزینی آن‌ها با مواد چاپی، دستیابی و استفاده از اطلاعات روزامد و دقیق دستخوش تغییرات اساسی شده است. هدف از انجام مطالعه حاضر، تعیین نحوه دسترسی و میزان استفاده دستیاران رشته دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی تهران، شهید بهشتی و شاهد از منابع لاتین الکترونیک بود.روش بررسی: این تحقیق از نوع توصیفی- تحلیلی بود و جامعه آماری آن را 267 نفر دستیار بالینی رشته دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی تهران، شهید بهشتی و شاهد تشکیل داد. ابزار جمع‌آوری داده‌ها، پرسش‌نامه محقق ساخته بود که روایی آن توسط اعضای هیأت علمی رشته کتابداری و اطلاع‌رسانی پزشکی و پایایی آن با استفاده از ضریب Cronbach¢s alpha معادل 88/0 تأیید گردید. داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون‌های One way ANOVA و Kruskal-Wallis مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: از بین پایگاه‌های اشتراکی، Science Direct و از بین پایگاه‌های رایگان نیز PubMed بیشترین استفاده را به خود اختصاص داد. بیشترین منبع برای دستیابی به متن کامل منابع لاتین الکترونیک، منابع اشتراکی محل تحصیل یا کار بود. سرعت‌ پایین اینترنت به عنوان بزرگ‌ترین مانع در استفاده شرکت‌ کنندگان به اطلاعات مورد نیاز گزارش گردید.نتیجه‌گیری: دستیاران برای دسترسی به متن کامل منابع، به منابع اشتراکی محل تحصیل یا کار بیشتر از بقیه موارد رجوع می‌کنند. بهبود زیرساخت‌های فنی و پهنای باند اینترنت می‌تواند به کاهش موانع آن‌ها در استفاده و دسترسی از منابع لاتین الکترونیک کمک نماید.

چکیده English

Introduction: Scholars of different fields need open-access and subscribed electronic resources to access scientific information. However, with the increasing growth of electronic resources and the replacement of printed materials with digital collections, the way we access these resources has changed significantly. Thus, the objective of this study was to assess how dental assistants at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Shahed University, Iran, access and use electronic resources.Methods: This was a descriptive-analytical study. The statistic population consisted of 267 dental assistants at the abovementioned universities. The data collection tool was a researcher-designed questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by faculty members in the field of Medical Librarianship and Information Sciences and its reliability was approved using Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.88). The collected data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test.Results: ScienceDirect and PubMed were the most used electronic resources among subscribed and open-access databases, respectively. Participants most often used the subscribed resources which were available at work or home. The respondents reported low internet speed as their most important barrier to accessing information.Conclusion: Dental assistants used subscribed resources which were available at work or university more than others in order to access the full text of subscribed electronic resources. Improving technology and Internet broadband infrastructures would also help decrease the limitations and problems in accessing required information.
