چکیده
مقدمه: متخصصان فن‌آوری اطلاعات سلامت HIT (Health information technology) می‌توانند در هر جایگاه کاری که نیازمند دانش مرتبط با HIT باشد، مشغول به کار شوند. مطالعه حاضر فرصت‌های شغلی ممکن و موجود در جامعه را با توجه به توانایی‌های دانش آموختگان این رشته شناسایی کرد و راهکارهای مناسبی برای افزایش آن ارایه نمود.روش بررسی: این مطالعه از نوع توصیفی- مقطعی بود و جامعه پژوهش آن را دانش آموختگان شاغل در رشته‌های مدارک پزشکی (109 نفر) و HIT (30 نفر) بیمارستان‌های تبریز و مدیران مراکز مرتبط (40 نفر) تشکیل داد. برای جمع‌آوری داده‌ها، از دو پرسش‌نامه محقق ساخته و روش مصاحبه استفاده شد. پایایی داده‌ها توسط ضریب Cronbach¢s alpha، 85/0 تعیین گردید. یافته‌ها به استفاده از آمار توصیفی مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: اغلب متخصصان این رشته در واحد مدارک پزشکی بیمارستان‌ها به کار اشتغال داشتند. مراکز تحقیقاتی (2/60 درصد) و سازمان‌های بیمه (6/66 درصد) از مهم‌ترین جایگاه‌های شغلی مورد علاقه دانش آموختگان هر دو رشته بود. از دید مدیران غیر بیمارستانی (40 درصد)، علت عدم جذب دانش آموختگان این رشته در سازمان‌ها، عدم آشنایی با رشته و توانمندی‌های آنان بود.نتیجه‌گیری: معرفی و شناساندن توانمندی‌های علمی و عملی رشته و دانش آموختگان به جامعه ضروری به نظر می‌رسد. جوابگویی به نیازهای اطلاعاتی محیط‌های درمانی و غیر درمانی، تعادل مناسب بین منابع و مواد درسی تئوری و عملی می‌باشد.

The Current and Future Occupational Opportunities for Health Information Technology Graduates: Problems and Requirements

Introduction: Health information technology (HIT) experts can work in any position that requires knowledge related to HIT. The aim of this study was to identify current and future occupational opportunities for HIT graduates and appropriate strategies to increase it.Methods: This was a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of graduates in medical records (109 people) and HIT (30 individuals) working in hospitals in Tabriz, Iran, and all managers of the related centers (40 individuals). Data were collected using two researcher-made questionnaires through interviews. The reliability of data was calculated using Cronbach’s alpha (α = 0.85(. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.Results: Most HIT experts were working in the medical records department of hospitals. The most preferred job positions among HIT graduates were in research centers (60.2%) and health insurance (66.6%). Non-hospital managers believed (40%) that the main reason for graduates’ lack of employment in organizations was the unfamiliarity of relevant organizations with graduates’ abilities.Conclusion: Introducing HIT graduates’ scientific and practical abilities to society seems to be an essential measure. Accountability to the information needs of health and non-health environments requires a suitable balance between theoretical and practical courses.
